How NaijaWide identifies rising songs
The Momentum Score compares cumulative recorded page views across the two latest weekly snapshots. Absolute view gain contributes 75 percent, percentage growth contributes 15 percent with a cap to prevent tiny-base spikes, and release freshness contributes 10 percent. Songs with no positive weekly gain are excluded.

15% growth ratePercentage growth helps emerging songs compete, while a cap limits distorted jumps from very small starting numbers.
10% freshnessA limited freshness factor helps newer releases surface without overpowering genuine audience momentum.
