Nigerian Afro-house singer and songwriter Niniola returns with “Without You,” a four-track EP that showcases a more emotional and reflective side of her artistry.
Known for her energetic Afro-house sound and commanding vocals, Niniola takes a more intimate direction on the project, blending soulful melodies, Afrobeats rhythms and heartfelt songwriting. The EP explores themes of love, heartbreak, longing and emotional vulnerability, giving listeners a different perspective on the artist behind some of Nigeria’s biggest dance records.
The project features “Pain,” “Teardrops,” “Raining (O Dun Mi)” and “Somebody’s Baby.” Among the standout records is “Raining (O Dun Mi),” which carries a deeply personal message for Niniola. Released in August 2026, the song serves as a tribute to her late husband and longtime manager, Michael Ndika, and reflects her experience of grief, love, remembrance and healing.
The title “O Dun Mi” expresses deep emotional pain in Yoruba, reinforcing the vulnerable direction of the record and the wider emotional character of the EP.
