FOLA – miss u ii (nriri): Singer Revisits His Story of Love and Longing

Nigerian singer and songwriter FOLA returns with “miss u ii (nriri),” a new Afrobeats record that revisits the emotions surrounding one of his earlier songs. Released on October 6, 2026, the track continues the story introduced with “Miss You,” which FOLA released in 2023.

“miss u ii (nriri)” finds FOLA exploring longing, love and emotional vulnerability, with his soft vocal delivery carrying much of the song’s weight. Rather than relying on an overly busy arrangement, the record gives his voice and songwriting enough space to communicate the feeling at the heart of the song.

The new release also reflects FOLA’s progression since his earlier “Miss You.” The singer gained wider attention with “Alone” in 2024 before releasing his debut album, Catharsis, in 2025, a project that further established his emotionally driven approach to Afrobeats and Afro-fusion.

With “miss u ii (nriri),” FOLA returns to a familiar emotional territory while presenting it through a fresh recording. The song serves as a sequel in title and theme, but also stands on its own as another example of the singer’s preference for intimate songwriting, melodic vocals and restrained production.

The track is also part of FOLA’s forthcoming 14-track sophomore album, 9, where it occupies the fifth position on the reported tracklist.

“miss u ii (nriri)” adds another reflective entry to FOLA’s growing catalogue, giving listeners a continuation of the story that began with his earlier record while showcasing how his sound has evolved. Stream and enjoy “miss u ii (nriri)” by FOLA on your favourite digital music platforms.
