Nigerian music legend 2Baba teams up with Fave for a new single titled “Mental,” bringing together two distinct generations of Nigerian music on a romantic record centred on love, attraction and emotional attachment.

Released on September 18, 2026, “Mental” arrived on the same day 2Baba celebrated his 51st birthday, giving the veteran singer another reason to mark the occasion with his fans. The song was produced by DeeYasso and is also part of the buildup to 2Baba’s forthcoming studio album, Oldest Young Man.

On the record, 2Baba brings the melodic and emotionally direct delivery that has remained a defining part of his music, while Fave adds her soulful vocal presence to the collaboration. Their contrasting styles create a meeting point between classic Nigerian Afro-pop and the more contemporary sound of Afrobeats.
