Nigerian singer and songwriter Fido returns with a new romantic single titled “For Me,” continuing his run of releases in 2026 with a softer, melody-driven record.
Released on September 24, 2026, via Oosha Records Ltd / EMPIRE, “For Me” sees Fido leaning into themes of affection and emotional connection. Rather than relying on a feature, the singer carries the song alone, allowing his vocals and songwriting to remain at the centre of the record.
The song takes a relaxed approach to Afrobeats, with a steady groove and melodic delivery that complement its romantic subject matter. Fido presents the feelings at the heart of the record in a straightforward way, giving “For Me” an intimate quality that fits easily into everyday listening.
“For Me” also arrives as part of an active period for Fido, following his September release “Friends With Benefits (F.W.B)” and adding another solo record to his growing catalogue. His earlier songs, including “Awolowo” and “Joy Is Coming,” helped establish his melodic style and brought his music to a wider audience.
With its warm Afrobeats rhythm and romantic focus, “For Me” gives Fido another opportunity to showcase the vocal style and accessible songwriting that have become central to his sound.
