Nigerian singer and songwriter Shoday teams up with Mavin Records star Magixx on his latest single, “CHE,” bringing together two melodic voices for a smooth and contemporary Afrobeats collaboration.

Released on September 25, 2026, “CHE” arrives as a standalone single through Canny Consults, with Shally credited as the producer. The record follows Shoday’s earlier 2026 releases, including “MOVE,” and continues his active run of new music this year.

The collaboration had already generated significant attention before its official release. A preview of “CHE” reportedly inspired more than 45,000 TikTok creations within two days, helping build anticipation around the song before it reached streaming platforms.

On the record, Shoday and Magixx combine their melodic approaches over a mid-tempo Afrobeats production driven by crisp percussion, soft synth textures and a catchy vocal hook. Their performances move between English and Yoruba, giving the song a distinctly Nigerian character while keeping the sound accessible.

For Shoday, “CHE” follows the momentum of his recent catalogue, including “MOVE,” and adds another high-profile collaboration to his growing discography. Magixx, meanwhile, brings the polished vocal style that has become associated with his work since emerging from the Mavin Records camp.

The song also arrives at a time when social media previews continue to play an important role in the rollout of Nigerian music. In the case of “CHE,” the early response helped turn an unreleased snippet into a highly anticipated collaboration before the official release date.

With “CHE,” Shoday and Magixx deliver a catchy Afrobeats record built around melody, rhythm and the chemistry between both artists, giving listeners another fresh collaboration to add to their playlists.
