Nigerian singer, songwriter and creative Lovn, also known as Soundbender, officially steps into a new chapter with his debut project, SOUNDBENDER, a nine-track body of work that introduces the wider musical world to his distinctive fusion of contemporary Afrobeats and indigenous Nigerian sounds.

Released on September 25, 2026, the project arrives through Mavin Global Holdings Ltd and runs for approximately 26 minutes. It marks a significant step for Lovn following his 2025 unveiling as a Mavin Records artiste and the run of singles that introduced his sound to a broader audience.

Lovn’s musical identity is built around his ability to bend different sounds into something personal. His foundation draws from Fuji and Apala, while his contemporary approach incorporates Afrobeats and Afrofusion. Mavin describes him as a fusion musician whose influences include figures such as Fela Kuti, King Sunny Ade, Michael Jackson, Wande Coal and Don Jazzy.

Across SOUNDBENDER, Lovn explores different sides of relationships, independence, self-worth, money, ambition and the realities of everyday life. The project moves between more vulnerable records and songs focused on confidence and personal progress, giving the nine-track release a varied emotional range.

The project includes collaborations with Ayanfe, Amaeya, L.A.X and Terry Apala. Ayanfe appears on “OVER THE NIGHT,” while Amaeya joins Lovn on “DON’T LEAVE ME.” L.A.X and Terry Apala feature together on “OMO TI O COMMON II,” adding further layers of Nigerian vocal and indigenous musical influences to the project.

Lovn had previously introduced this direction with releases such as “Sorry I’m Busy,” which was produced by Altims and highlighted his Fuji-influenced vocal style and hustler mentality. That single was initially announced as a preview of his forthcoming Soundbender project, making the arrival of the full body of work the continuation of a rollout that began months earlier.

With SOUNDBENDER, Lovn puts his own musical identity at the centre of the project, blending traditional Nigerian influences with contemporary production while presenting a broader picture of the artist behind the Soundbender name.
