Can’t Wait
DJames teams up with Nigerian singer Qing Madi on “Can’t Wait,” a new Afrobeats release that brings together polished production and the singer’s distinctive, R&B-influenced vocals. Released on October 1, 2026, the single marks another collaboration between the two artists following their earlier link-up, “Love Me,” which appeared on DJames’ Grateful EP in 2024.
On “Can’t Wait,” Qing Madi takes centre stage with an expressive vocal performance, bringing a smooth and melodic quality to the record. Her delivery fits naturally into DJames’ relaxed sound, allowing the song to maintain an easy flow without losing its rhythmic appeal.
The production gives the vocals room to breathe, drawing on contemporary Afrobeats and Afro-R&B influences. Rather than crowding the arrangement, DJames keeps the instrumental measured, creating a laid-back atmosphere suited to repeat listening.
The reunion also builds on the musical connection established by “Love Me.” Their latest release offers another opportunity for both artists to explore a melodic sound that appeals to listeners who enjoy contemporary African pop and R&B-inspired records.
With “Can’t Wait,” DJames and Qing Madi deliver a collaboration for listeners looking to add a smooth, easygoing record to their playlists. Stream and enjoy “Can’t Wait” by DJames featuring Qing Madi on your favourite digital music platforms.
