Nigerian singer and songwriter Kunmie has officially unveiled his highly anticipated album titled “22,” a 13-track project that captures his musical growth, personal experiences and evolving sound.
The album blends Afrobeats, Afro-fusion and contemporary Nigerian sounds, with Kunmie exploring themes of love, ambition, pressure, self-discovery, vulnerability and perseverance. His melodic vocals and expressive songwriting remain central throughout the project.
“22” features an impressive lineup of Nigerian talents, including Phyno, Lojay, Wizard Chan, Zlatan, G4ZI and Joeboy. The collaborations add different textures to the project while allowing Kunmie’s distinct sound to remain at the forefront.
The album opens with “5AM” featuring Phyno and continues with records such as “Tonight,” “Confession,” “Gorgeous” featuring Lojay, and the title track “22.” Other standout collaborations include “Unfiltered” with Wizard Chan, “Pressure” featuring Zlatan and “Solace II” with Joeboy.
The project is completed by “Laye Mi,” “Answer Me,” “Prisoner,” “Abeg O” and “Calvary,” giving listeners a well-rounded collection that showcases different sides of Kunmie’s artistry.
