Nigerian singer and songwriter Ayox returns with “Happy Face,” a melodic Afrobeats record that presents the young artist in a lighter and more upbeat musical mood.
Released on October 1, 2026, “Happy Face” arrives as part of a two-song single release that also includes a Speed Up version of the track. The original record gives Ayox space to carry the song with his vocals and melodic songwriting.
Produced by Ibk Sleeks, the song is built around a smooth rhythmic foundation that allows Ayox’s vocals to remain prominent. His delivery stays relaxed and expressive, while the production gives the record an accessible Afrobeats feel.
The title “Happy Face” reflects the song’s lighter musical character, with Ayox leaning into catchy melodies and an easy-going performance. Rather than relying on a guest appearance, he keeps the record focused on his own vocal presence and songwriting.
The new single follows Ayox’s recent 2026 releases, including “MANDEM” with DeCarlo and the standalone “REMEMBER” and “SHAKE IT.” It adds another entry to a growing catalogue that has also included his 2025 album WHEN NOBODY IS WATCHING.
With its melodic vocals, smooth production and upbeat direction, “Happy Face” gives Ayox another opportunity to showcase the sound he is developing within Nigeria’s contemporary Afrobeats scene.
