Ghanaian Afropop star Wendy Shay teams up with fellow Ghanaian singer Lasmid on her latest single, “Bendova,” a lively collaboration that blends contemporary Afrobeats and Dancehall with a playful, dance-focused energy.

Released on September 25, 2026, through Rufftown Records under exclusive licence to ONErpm, “Bendova” brings the two Ghanaian acts together for the first time on a record built around catchy melodies and an energetic groove. MOG Beatz handles the production.

Also referred to as “Bend Over” in some listings, the title sets the tone for the song’s playful and flirtatious character. Wendy Shay takes the lead with an assertive vocal performance, while Lasmid adds his smoother melodic delivery, creating a contrast that keeps the collaboration engaging.

The production leans into an upbeat Ghanaian Afrobeats and Dancehall sound, giving both artists enough space to trade sections while keeping the central hook prominent. The combination of rhythmic percussion, melodic passages and a dance-oriented arrangement makes the record suited to parties, social gatherings and casual listening.

“Bendova” follows Wendy Shay’s 4PLAY EP, a four-track project released in July 2026, and continues her run of new music during the year. For Lasmid, the collaboration adds another release to an active 2026 catalogue that has included songs such as “Liquor Store” and “Biggest Nathaniel.”

The collaboration brings together Wendy Shay’s established Afropop presence and Lasmid’s melodic approach, resulting in a contemporary Ghanaian record that keeps its focus on rhythm, movement and catchy vocal performances.
