Nigerian gospel singer and worship minister Mercy Chinwo returns with a vibrant new praise single titled “MY GOD, YOU ARE GOOD,” offering a joyful declaration of gratitude and celebrating the faithfulness and goodness of God.

Released on September 25, 2026, the song arrives as a standalone single and adds another praise-focused record to Mercy Chinwo’s growing gospel catalogue. The release was preceded by a teaser shared ahead of the official audio and visual release, building anticipation for the new song.

At the centre of “MY GOD, YOU ARE GOOD” is a simple declaration of praise: recognising God as good, faithful, mighty and powerful. The song keeps its message direct, turning thanksgiving into an energetic musical expression rather than an elaborate lyrical narrative.

Musically, Mercy Chinwo takes the song into a lively African praise direction, with spirited vocals, prominent percussion and a call-and-response approach that gives it the feel of a communal praise session. Another review of the record describes its sound as drawing strongly from Makossa, adding a danceable African rhythmic character to the gospel message.

The song also carries a strong worship focus, with Mercy Chinwo repeatedly affirming God’s uniqueness and faithfulness. Its message of gratitude makes the record suitable for personal worship, praise gatherings and everyday gospel listening.

“MY GOD, YOU ARE GOOD” follows Mercy Chinwo’s 2025 album In His Will and her more recent gospel releases, including “Promise Keeper” with Nathaniel Bassey. The new single continues her established approach of combining contemporary African sounds with faith-centred songwriting.

With its energetic African rhythm, powerful vocals and uncomplicated message of thanksgiving, “MY GOD, YOU ARE GOOD” gives Mercy Chinwo another praise anthem built around celebrating God’s goodness and faithfulness.
