Nigerian artist SHON returns with “Lekki Epe (Olombe) II,” bringing Abefe into the new version of his previously released record and giving the song a fresh collaborative dimension.

Released on October 2, 2026, “Lekki Epe (Olombe) II” revisits SHON’s original “Lekki Epe (Olombe),” which was released in July 2026. The new version retains the identity of the first record while introducing Abefe as the featured artist.

The collaboration gives the song a different dynamic without completely moving away from its original foundation. SHON remains at the centre of the record, while Abefe adds his own melodic presence to the updated arrangement.

For Abefe, the collaboration arrives during a busy year that has seen his profile grow rapidly through a combination of viral performances, original releases and his debut Abefe (Begged To Be Loved) EP. The six-track project was released in July and established his emerging sound around Afrobeat melodies, personal storytelling and emotional songwriting.

SHON, meanwhile, continues to build on the momentum around “Lekki Epe (Olombe),” which first appeared as a standalone single in July. The sequel gives the song a new vocal combination while keeping its original identity recognisable to listeners who discovered the first version.

The result is a concise contemporary Nigerian collaboration that brings SHON’s existing record together with one of the breakout voices of 2026. “Lekki Epe (Olombe) II” extends the life of the original while giving Abefe an opportunity to add his voice to the song.
