Nigerian rapper Aguero Banks teams up with fellow Eastern Nigerian artist Evado on “Asawana,” a hard-edged collaboration that brings together two voices from the contemporary South-Eastern hip-hop scene.

Released on October 2, 2026, “Asawana” marks another collaboration between Aguero Banks and Evado, following their previous work together on records including “Ego Sub,” “Thug Life II” and “Titled Man.” Their latest link-up builds on an established creative relationship rather than functioning as a one-off feature.

Musically, the record draws from Eastern drill and Igbo hip-hop, with energetic percussion providing the foundation for both rappers to deliver their verses. The production leaves space for their flows and lyrical exchanges, allowing the contrast between their deliveries to remain central to the song.

The song also carries a strong regional identity. Aguero Banks and Evado incorporate Igbo-rooted expression and South-Eastern street culture into their performances, giving “Asawana” a distinctly local character while keeping the sound connected to the wider contemporary Nigerian rap movement.

For Aguero Banks, the release follows his recent appearance on Dluxx’s “Good Life,” adding another collaboration to an active period in his 2026 catalogue. Evado also continues to build visibility through collaborations that place his rap style alongside established artists from the Eastern Nigerian music scene.

The familiarity between the two artists gives “Asawana” a natural chemistry, with both rappers leaning into confident performances rather than competing for the spotlight. The result is a direct, energetic record rooted in the sound and identity of Nigeria’s South-East.

With its drill-inspired production, Igbo influence and back-and-forth rap performances, “Asawana” adds another chapter to Aguero Banks and Evado’s growing collaboration history while highlighting the continuing evolution of Eastern Nigerian hip-hop.
